Constitutional objectives
The organisations purposes are to benefit the community of Dunbeg village in Argyll, and surrounding area, which comprises the local authority area of Argyll and Bute (the Community), with the following objects: The advancement of community development and regeneration in the Dunbeg village area of Argyll. The advancement of environmental protection or improvement through the preservation, restoration and protection of the environment in and around Dunbeg village, in particular through the maintenance, management, promotion and enhancement of the natural environment (including landscape, wildlife and the environment, and including measures to promote biodiversity) The advancement of community development by the management of community land and associated assets which benefits the community and promotes peoples ability to participate in community life. The provision of recreational facilities with the aim of encouraging public participation in outdoor activities within the countryside area within the Dunbeg Community Woodland area and improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended, particularly within the Community. The advancement of heritage, and in particular to promote the conservation of buildings and other features of architectural and/or historical interest within the Community. The promotion of volunteering within the Community, and in particular through projects and initiatives connected with the delivery of the objectives set out above which provide opportunities for volunteer support, training and/or work experience.
