02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Endo SoS was set up to raise awareness of Endometriosis as a chronic health condition and to provide peer-based support to help people living with Endometriosis better understand and more easily manage the condition. We do this by hosting regular online webinars with medical experts, facilitating mutual support through social media and face-to-face networking, providing informal counselling and support in group sessions and one-to-one guidance sessions and by producing and disseminating promotional materials highlighting the condition.

Constitutional objectives
4 The organisation’s purposes are to: (a) Raise awareness in the South of Scotland of the medical condition Endometriosis among health professionals and the general public by: • Hosting regular online webinars • Producing promotional materials highlighting the condition – e.g., leaflets and press articles (b) Help sufferers of Endometriosis in the South of Scotland to maintain or improve their health by: • Increasing sufferers’ knowledge of and ability to manage their condition through access to webinars / talks by professional experts • Facilitating mutual support among sufferers through social media and face-to-face networking among members (c) Provide access to informal counselling and support for Endometriosis sufferers through regular online virtual networking, face-to-face support group sessions and one-to-one guidance. (d) Work in partnership with other similar organisations to support activities that promote the health and wellbeing of Endometriosis sufferers.
