02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

This is a family charity in the name of Fatima and Moinuddin (one of the trustees grandparents) and follows their example of philanthropy which was the key feature of their generous lives. The objects of the charity are stated above. There are 3 trustees Huda Naaz (Chair person). Maryam Khan (Treasurer) and Mohammed Umair Ullah Khan (Secretary) who are closely connected and aligned with the charity's objectives. Currently the funds are donated from personal accounts of the trustees into a business bank account. The operational charges are deliberately kept at a minimum - the only regular expense is £5 per month for maintaining the bank account. This is the first year after the charity was set up - and as we are settling in, the main expenses have been in the form of 2 payments- the first one to do with helping 'those in need by reason of ill health' and the second for 'advancement of health' as payment for medical expenses to an individual.
