02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
CCAA encourages participation in cultural and artistic activities, promotes social inclusion by offering accessible creative opportunities, and strengthens community connections through shared programmes and events. Our main initiative - the ArtUnity Project - delivers creative workshops, exhibitions, performances and community engagement activities, bringing people together from different backgrounds and fostering cross-cultural collaboration.

Constitutional objectives
The advancement of the Art, heritage and culture through staging public exhibitions, educations clubs, Art and culture programs, giving presentations and/or performances for the public to raise awareness of the history and traditions of the diverse communities including new Scots intangible cultural heritage. The advancement of education in relation to intangible cultural heritage through offering art and culture educational activities, training opportunities, clubs, and community development initiatives, as well as facilitating engagement and participation of the diverse communities in art and culture and art education programs. The promotion of equality and diversity through celebrating cultural heritage and community cohesion via culture, Art and community development initiatives and programs including the empowerment of participative democracy and inclusion as well as capacity development support as a means of tackling exclusion and promoting integration and active citizenship.
