What the charity exists to do

FOSK was established to preserve the island’s architectural heritage by restoring and maintaining the historic buildings while transforming it into a sustainable community facility.

Constitutional objectives

4.1 The Company's main Purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The Company's 4.1.1 To establish and maintain a community space for activities including musical events, craft and educational workshops, exhibitions and social functions 4.1.2 To advance the education of the public in Sanday and elsewhere in the history of Sanday Kirk and the historical, cultural and social development of the local community. 4.1.3 To maintain the building of Sanday Kirk and preserve its heritage for the benefit of the community 4.1.4 To use the Kirk building as a community resource for artistic, cultural, educational and social activities within the spirit of the building's historical use 4.1.5 To carry out any other activities in furtherance of the above objects
