02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Although this has been a relatively quiet year in terms of the number of projects delivered, the Foundation has remained committed to its charitable purpose of supporting the local community through initiatives that promote wellbeing, reduce social isolation and provide assistance to those most in need. Throughout the year, the Foundation has continued to strengthen its relationship with Cove Rangers Football Club and a number of valued community partners, ensuring that football remains a positive force for social good within the Community.

Constitutional objectives
1) PURPOSES The Organisation's charitable purposes are: i. The advancement of public participation in sport through: a. the promotion of participation in football and other sports. b. acting as advisors in relation to the development of football and other sports. and c. the provision of recreational facilities, or, the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving conditions for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. ii. The advancement of education by the promotion of programmes and activities which have educational value. and iii. The advancement of health by: a. promoting the benefits of physical activity and provision of assistance in relation to sports related and healthy lifestyle matters. and b. promoting participation in programmes and activities designed to improve literacy, numeracy, employment & life skills and tackle social isolation.
