Constitutional objectives
The objects of the CIO are (a) The advancement of education for the public benefit and the promotion of medical research in ophthalmology, and the dissemination of the results of that research by the support or provision of such facilities, as the trustees shall from time to time determine. (b) The relief in need of such persons who are studying at, or who are or have been employed, in any capacity in any teaching hospital engaged in ophthalmology in any part of the world or, their dependants.
