02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

PFC Community Foundation will play a positive role in our community by inspiring, including, educating and empowering our community to improve their quality of life. The Foundation provide facilities and accessible opportunities for all, using the power of sport and Peterhead FC to inspire our community to live active, healthy, positive lives and create a more inclusive community to create a sense of belonging and purpose. The Foundation, delivering in each of our three strategic elements, progressing our mission of playing a positive role in our community by inspiring, including, educating, and empowering our community to improve their quality of life

Constitutional objectives

5.1 The SCIO shall hold the SCIO's Assets for Charitable Purposes exclusively. declaring without prejudice to the foregoing generality that the Charity Trustees shall create and operate sporting facilities for the benefit of those living in the North East of Scotland and such other persons who are studying, working or visiting in that area. 5.2 The Trustees may apply the SCIO's Assets exclusively for the purposes of benefitting the public and in particular but without prejudice to the generality of that purpose through:- 5.2.1 The provision of recreation facilities and the organisation of recreational activities. 5.2.2 The advancement of public participation in sport and, in particular, the promotion of participation by members of the public in healthy sporting activities, including, but not limited to, football. 5.2.3 The advancement of health, in particular through participation in sporting activities. 5.2.4 The advancement of citizenship or community development and, in particular, the provision of community based recreational facilities and activities undertaken by football clubs. 5.2.5 The advancement of education through sporting activities. 5.2.6 The prevention or relief of poverty. and 5.2.7 For the purposes of advancing such similar Charitable Purposes as the Trustees may consider appropriate from time to time to further the objects in clause 5.1 above. 5.3 The SCIO has power to do anything which is calculated to further its purposes or is conducive or incidental to doing so all in compliance with the terms of the Act insofar as it relates to the operation of a SCIO.
