What the charity exists to do

Our Charity has the main aim of developing community led improvements to local woodlands for the benefit of local ecosystems and residents, we consult the local communities and take action either in partnership with land owners or by working towards bringing land into community ownership for sustainable development

Constitutional objectives

The organisation’s main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The organisations purposes are: 5.1 THE ADVANCEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION OR IMPROVEMENT To conserve and enhance the woodlands and open spaces of Strathkelvin as a haven for wildlife and an educational and recreational resource for all 5.2 THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES, OR THE ORGANISATION OF RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE PERSONS FOR WHOM THE FACILITIES OR ACTIVITIES ARE PRIMARILY INTENDED - To promote the open spaces, by fostering practical action and promoting the area for walking and activities 5.3 THE ADVANCEMENT OF CITIZENSHIP OR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT -the promotion of civic responsibility, volunteering, the voluntary sector or the effectiveness or efficiency of charities, and rural or urban regeneration.
