02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity holds regular meetings (minimum 4 per year) including an AGM. These meetings are attended by Trustees and further volunteer Parent Council Members (Parents of school children), representatives from the School (Typically Head Teacher, Deputy, Business Manager) and on occasion other interested parties (e.g. Council Members). Representatives are able to propose topics for discussion which support fulfilling the charity purpose and objectives. Topics will typically include matters relating to integration between staff, parents & pupils, local matters impacting the school and local community, fundraising event ideas and planning, discussion of opportunties to spend the funding raised to enhance the school and pupil experience.

Constitutional objectives
The association's purposes are the advancement of education, which will be achieved by the following methods: a) to promote close co-operation and communication between parents and school staff b) to study and discuss matters of mutual interest relating to the education and welfare of pupils c) to engage in activities which support and advance the education of pupils attending the school and nursery.
