02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The advancement of equality and diversity, and mental health well-being in Scotland, from people from all backgrounds particularly amongst members of the South Asian community, BIPOC groups, and underprivileged members, through the provision of accessible psychological interventions and educational opportunities creating awareness amongst communities. The advancement of education to address the needs of these groups by providing a facility to train and supervise our therapists to establish cultural competence to remove barriers and increase access to mental health support for services users and the community. The organisation of counselling for people affected by structural inequalities, racism, fear, stigma, and discrimination by providing psychoeducation workshops, groups, and individual sessions.
