What the charity exists to do

The Trustees would be able to carry out charitable acivities or actions in our local geographical are (East Lammermuir)

Constitutional objectives

4. The organisation is established for charitable purposes only and, in particular, the objects are: 4.1 The creation and improvement of existing facilities in the Area of Benefit to assist young persons, the elderly and disabled to participate in community facilities, 4.2 The cooperation with charities registered under Charities and Trustee Investments (Scotland) Act 2005 which carry out similar purposes in areas which adjoin the Area of Benefit, 4.3 To support projects that promote or improve environmental sustainability, 4.4 To support projects which offer participation in sport improved health and wellbeing and/or save lives, tackle child poverty, promote inclusion and reduce inequality, and/or address social isolation in the Area of Benefit, 4.5 To make educational grants to persons ordinarily resident or employed or self-employed in the Area of Benefit, 4.6 To support schemes that involve communities in the Area of Benefit working together to promote citizenship and, encourage cohesion between the different communities as well as within the communities themselves in the Area of Benefit. The area within which the organisation shall operate (in this constitution referred to as the Area of Benefit) shall primarily be the area of East Lammermuir. The organisation shall promote (but not promote exclusively) its activities and deliver operations to people in the Area of Benefit. These people will be the organisations beneficiaries. For the avoidance of doubt the organisation may support and promote the interests of charities and other charitable purposes which benefit people outwith the Area of Benefit.
