02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We rescue, rehabilitate and re-release sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs back out into the wild where they originally came from if safe to do so. We care for up to 40 hedgehogs with ourselves and a fantastic team of volunteers.

Constitutional objectives
The Trustees shall hold and apply the sum of �1 paid by us to them, and such other funds and assets as may from time to time be comprised in the Trust Property, in trust for the following purposes:- a) The advancement of animal welfare by means of the provision of rescue, first aid and rehabilitation of European Hedgehogs (Erinaceus Europaeus) with the aim of expediting a return to the wild wherever possible. b) The advancement of education of the general public as to the plight of the European Hedgehog which is currently on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List due to being at risk of species extinction.
