02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are set up for the benefit of the Community of Avich and Kilchrenan. we will buy assets to bring them into community ownership and use. We are looking to protect and improve Community Heritage, environment, and facilities. We do this by community consultation, by buying redundant buildings, expecting to land the first project to buy the redundant church buildings in December 2025

Constitutional objectives
Definition of Community and Purposes The Organisation has been formed for the public benefit of the Community of Avich and Kilchrenan as defined by the boundary of Avich & Kilchrenan Community Council (“the Community”), with the Purposes listed in Clause 5 below(“the Purposes”), to be exercised following the principles of sustainable development (where sustainable development means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs). A map of the defined community (as at 1st January 2023) is appended to these articles for information and may not represent the present boundary. Purposes The Organisation’s main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The Organisation’s Purposes are: The advancement of environmental protection or improvement The advancement of education The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture and science The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities
