Constitutional objectives
4. The organisation's purposes are: a. the protection and enhancement of the tower erected on Scolty Hill, Banchory (being ground forming part of the Farm of Ardlair, Strachan, Banchory) known as Scolty Tower and serving as a memorial to General William Burnett of Banchory Lodge (1762-1839), and in particular: b. with the consent and approval of the registered proprietors from time to time of said farm, the maintenance, protection and improvement of the said tower, the viewing indicators erected close to the said tower, and the ground surrounding the same. c. the maintenance of public rights relating to the access thereto. d. the encouragement of the preservation of the said tower and surrounding features of natural or public interest. and e. the pursuit of these objects by means of meetings, exhibitions and other activities including the promotion of schemes of a charitable nature.
