The purposes of the SCIO are:- 3.1 (i) The advancement of the arts through increasing public exposure to, appreciation of, or involvement in watercolour or water-based media and art. (ii) the education of the public in the creation, enjoyment, appreciation and understanding of watercolour or water-based media, through exhibitions and educational programmes. and 3.2 to promote such similar charitable purposes, objects or institutions in such proportions and manner as the Council think fit.
