02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Blue Light Minds is a charity dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of Emergency Service workers across Scotland. We provide access to free, trauma-focused therapies, including TF-CBT and EMDR, for those affected by distressing or traumatic incidents experienced at work. Our service is designed to be fast, confidential, and tailored to the unique pressures faced by those in the Emergency Services. In addition to direct clinical support, we promote resilience and early intervention through education, training, and awareness. We work with partner organisations and clinicians to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care, while also advocating for better mental health support within the Emergency Services.
