02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our charity seeks to advance opportunities for participation in watersports, such as dinghy sailing, windsurfing, rowing, paddle boarding and canoeing, and to develop the skills of our volunteers in doing this, We seek to promote the club within the local community with an active presence on social media, and have regular sessions to encourage members to develop their skills. We provide our members access to our premises and loch on an unrestricted basis, and maintain a low subscription level to maximise access to our club. We provide club equipment such as dinghies and windsurfing equipment which members can use free of charge. We also seek to protect Fannyside Loch as a natural resource, by ensuring as far as possible that it is kept free of noxious substances.
