02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Club Mission Statement Lanarkshire Community Youth Football Club’s (LCYFC) roll within the local community is in developing children and young adults within the town of Hamilton and surrounding areas. Our commitment is to deliver fun, affordable football within the community in a safe environment. Our dedicated coaching teams look to deliver weekly sessions to help kids and youths gain confidence both in football and generally in life. With help in their football development, and in creating a fun safe team environment, LCYFC provides a basis for forming life time friendships. Football at youth level has now been recognized to be an integral part of Scottish football. It has also been recognized that younger ages should be taught the game in a more coherent, tolerant and organized manner. As well and the environment to grow and learn, LCYFC provide all clothing and equipment subsidised for members who are predominately living in what is deemed to be an impoverished area.
