02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Whitacres Wolves is a youth football club based in the south side of Glasgow. It was set up in 2024 to advance the participation of children in football and to use the sport as a means of personal, social, and educational development. We focus on supporting children aged 4 to 16, providing opportunities for them to engage in football in a safe, inclusive, and positive environment. We currently have over 300 players and 50 volunteer coaches. We try to make our club accessible to all children, regardless of background, ability, or experience. We offer structured football coaching sessions throughout the year including school holidays. We work closely with parents, schools, and local community organisations. Our goal is to use football not just as a sport, but as a tool for positive change. Our programmes encourage healthy lifestyles by promoting regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and mental resilience.
