02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Trust is not intended to be fundraising and is, accordingly, constituted in such a manner as to allow an appropriate level of flexibility without being encumbered by an overprescriptive constitution. lt is envisaged that the Trustees will operate as a conduit between the estate of Mr and Mrs Bett, on the death of the survivor of them, and charitable beneficiaries specifically in the UK, subject to the terms and charitable purposes of the Trust Deed, for the purpose of managing inheritance to their estate on death for charitable purposes. The Trust does not currently hold any funds as Mr and Mrs Bett are both still alive.

Constitutional objectives
The Trustees shall hold and apply the Trust Fund on discretionary trusts for payment of the whole or part of the capital of the trust estate as the Trustees may from time to time consider desirable for such charitable purposes or to such charitable institutions, societies, foundations, or funds as the Trustees may in their absolute discretion decide and without prejudice to the discretion of the Trustees it is our wish that the Trust Fund be used in supporting Charities within the United Kingdom, and without prejudice to that generality for the following selected Charitable Purposes: (a) the prevention or relief of poverty. (b) the advancement of education. (c) the advancement of health. (d) the saving of lives. (e) the advancement of public participation in sport. (f) the advancement of community development. and/or (g) the advancement of animal welfare.
