02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our charity is set up to relieve poverty and hardship within our local community by providing practical, immediate support to individuals and families who are struggling. We do this primarily through the provision of emergency food supplies and essential household items, ensuring that no one in our area goes without basic necessities. We work in partnership with local agencies, community groups and volunteers to identify those most in need and to respond quickly and discreetly. Beyond food provision, we aim to reduce isolation and build community resilience by signposting people to additional support services, including welfare advice and other local assistance. Our approach is rooted in dignity, compassion and fairness, ensuring that support is accessible, non-judgemental and responsive to changing local needs.
