02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The charity has opened an art gallery in a busy central location in Glasgow. There artists of every kind can exhibit and sell paintings for a small rent and low commissions, without having to go through interminable processes involved in even being considered to exhibit in a traditional gallery. The artists who volunteer to look after the space and can use it as a painting studio at the same time. Artists can meet and exchange ideas. The public can see artists at work and meet with them. There is an informal meeting space in the gallery provided for this.
