Constitutional objectives

The SCIO is established to promote and advance arts, and in particular the advancement of performing arts across Scotland and further afield, by providing emerging music artists with a public and online platform to newer wider audiences and in doing so increase public exposure to, and appreciation of, music by increasing opportunities to those facing barriers in creative industries. 5.1 In particular for the purposes of the 2005 Act is the charitable purpose identified as applicable from section 7 of the 2005 Act is:- 5.2 the advancement of the arts, heritage or culture.
