02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Dunshalt community Association ere constituted in 1957 to manage a Community hall for the purpose of physical and mental training and recreation which today is described as providing, maintaining and promoting a safe and comfortable space,, providing access for all, efficiently managed, and compliant with all Fife Council policies and good practice. Continuous improvement of provision over recent years has provided Hall users groups with a safe, well managed, easily accessed and responsive facilities. User feedback assists in the process of future planned improvements.

Constitutional objectives
4. The charity will operate as non-profit distributing whose principal objective is associating with voluntary organisations, the local authority and inhabitants in a common effort to advance citizenship and community development and through the provision of, or access to, recreational facilities and activities with the object of improving conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities and activities are primarily intended. In furnace of this purpose, the Association will 4.1 Manage and maintain Dunshalt Village Hall as a resource for the use and benefit of the community of Dunshalt, local environs and surrounding area. 4.2 Support the advancement of citizenship and community development by providing opportunities for all members of the community to participate in recreational activities in the interests of social welfare.
