02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The objective of the Lydia Wilson Foundation Charity is to provide local support to the vulnerable members of the society here in Scotland, especially in Aberdeen, UK. We support the asylum seekers in Aberdeen Westhill to provide relief materials for care packages distributed through the local managers. We donated food materials to the vulnerable during festive seasons via the Westhill Community Church.
Charitable purposes
- the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage
Beneficiaries
- Other defined groups
Activities
- It carries out activities or services itself
Constitutional objectives
The Objects are specifically restricted to relief those who are in need by reason of financial hardship, ill health, disability or other disadvantage. In particular, the organisation operates predominately as a body which supports the local community, provides support to those people identified within the community (minorities, widows, orphans, elderly and other vulnerable people) and liaises with the local stores, food banks, churches and other support groups.
