What the charity exists to do
The charity records and supports the awareness of historical railway operations in the North-East of Scotland. This includes provision of volunteering, heritage preservation and record keeping, sharing of historical data and artefacts with other research / historical organisations, theoretical and vocational technical and business training, and engagement with other local groups and charities.

Constitutional objectives
2 The company's objects are: (a) The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science through the operation and / or support for operation of the heritage branch line at Caledonian Railway Brechin for the public benefit. (b) the advancement of citizenship or community development, through engagement and support for local groups, with the general public and encouragement of all volunteering activity to support the operation of aforementioned railway. (c) The advancement of education, available to the public, through the development of managed training and awareness delivered through online training, 'hands-on' training and mentoring from experienced and competent professionals. This will include the development and storage for access of reference material from historic technical documents and observations for maintenance and operation of aforementioned railway.
