What the charity exists to do
The organisation’s purposes are (a) to enhance the levels of life satisfaction and improve the conditions of life. (b) advance South Asian arts and culture. and (c) contribute to progress within Scottish higher educational institutions of students from South Asia or of South Asian heritage at any Higher Education Institution within the city of Edinburgh and at Queen Margaret University without discriminating in favour of or against those from any South Asian country, or in favour of or against those professing membership of any particular religion or discriminating on grounds of membership of any political party, or on grounds of gender or sexuality, by encouraging and supporting activities organised for these students that promote South Asian arts and culture, that create opportunities for social interaction or that provide information and advice with respect to the conditions of living in Edinburgh and the expectations of the academic cultures of Edinburgh’s universities.
