02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity hosts motorsport events at the historic hillclimb track in Kinneil Estate Bo'ness, and helps preserve the heritage and tradition of Scotland's oldest permanent motorsport venue to encourage and promote interest in classic sports cars with the hillclimb and by organising a car show with displays of classic vehicles during the annual hillclimb event. BSAC continues to support and run the Scottish schools racing championship and has a number of cars lent to schools taking part. Money is raised through club membership and donations while the annual hillclimb produces funds from spectator entry fees and competitor fees. Donations are then made to various other charities for the following purposes, 1) the advancement of health and medical research 2) the saving of lives 3) the advancement of citizenship or community development
