02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The charity is set up to provide community transport services to Muthill and district, nominally within 4 miles of the village. A significant portion of our operations involve transport of members to hospital and other medical appointments to the extent that we occasionally require to supplement our single vehicle with volunteer hospital car drivers. Other activities are the transport of groups to various events in the local area. 83% of our membership are over 60's and many have disabilities. In less than one year of operation we have carried over 1,000 passengers and made 330 journeys, 210 of which involved patients to and from medical appointments.
