What the charity exists to do

to help people with dementia have an afternoon of joy, happiness, through singing. to help with their confidennce and give back some independence

Constitutional objectives

The purposes of the organisation is the provision of recreational activities' by offering a safe haven on a weekly basis, where people feel safe and a sense of belonging, in which people living with dementia feel happiness and a sense of wellbeing for them and their families. The dementia choir creates and supports an enriched environment for individuals with a diagnosis, ranging from a cognitive impairment to mid and late-stage dementia of all types through singing. Carers, family members and our talented volunteers are also a part of this environment. To support those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantage, through the relief of singing. To reduce social isolation, share in the joy of making music, stimulating neural pathways and creating wellbeing. As well as sparking pleasant memories for all that are present on the day and improve functional abilities following attendance
