Constitutional objectives

4 The organisation’s purposes are: 4.1 To manage and maintain the community hall and annex for the benefit of the inhabitants of the settlement of Bigton, visitors and it’s environs. These are dedicated and held by us and our successors as trustees for all time for the purposes of physical and mental training and recreation and social, moral and intellectual development through the medium of reading and recreation rooms, library, lectures, classes, recreation or otherwise as may be found expedient of the inhabitants of the District of Bigton in the County of Shetland, without distinction of age, gender, sexuality or political, religious and other opinions in order to: 4.2 Enhance the conditions of life for people within the community and the community itself by providing recreational facilities and activities thus contributing to their strengths, fostering social integration, mental health, and overall well-being. 4.3 Provide facilities for the advancement of heritage, education and community development. Offering a safe, flexible, and welcoming space at an affordable rate to attract diverse users. 4.4 Provide a welcoming social gathering space to strengthen community bonds and promote Bigton as a positive, supportive and attractive place to live and visit. 4.3 Provide facilities for the advancement of heritage, education and community development.
