02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The charity is not trading at present but will do so from 1st April 2026 once the assets of Skipness Village Hall have been transferred. This transfer was recently approved by OSCR. As the charity is not trading we have submitted a statement of balances only without independent examination. The charity has yet to open a bank account but will do so by 31st March 2026.

The organisation’s purposes are: (a) The advancement of education through the running of such courses as the board may consider as helpful to the community. (b) The advancement of health by providing facilities for an occasional doctors’ surgery, as a location for immunisation programmes, and by running activities that promote good health. (c) The advancement of citizenship and community development. (d) The provision of recreational facilities and the organisation of recreational activities.
