Constitutional objectives
The Organization’s Charitable Purposes are: (i) To celebrate the intersectionality of Queerness and Gaelicness. (ii) To promote and support equality and diversity, including linguistic diversity and interSectionality between LGBTQIA2+ identities and cultural identities. (iii) To advance education to eliminate all aspects of discrimination and disadvantage suffered by the Queer Gaelic community. (iv) To support mental and sexual health, especially of the Queer Gaelic community. (v) To raise awareness of LGBTQIA2+ issues, Gaelic issues, and the interSectionality of Queerness and Gaelicness. (vi) To increase the participation of Queer Gaels in all aspects of our society, including community, culture, heritage, sport, and education. (vii) To showcase the contribution of Queer Gaels and Queer Islanders to the culture and society of Scotland and the world. and (viii) To run LGBTQIA2+ events through Gaelic or bilingually through Gaelic and English.
