02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Mavdaha Cameroon SCIO exists to receive donations from interested parties in the UK and send those monies to a project in Cameroon managed by two local registered associations, and to use those monies in activities beneficial to the local community, activities approved by the charity’s founders, and in some case activities set up on location by the charity’s founders during the 21 years they lived and worked in that community in Cameroon.

Constitutional objectives

The organisation’s purposes are: 4.1 The promotion of the Christian faith in the Ouldémé and Vamé communities of north Cameroon through: 4.1.1 providing gifts of money, materials, prayer and advice to allow these communities to be transformed by the Word of God. 4.1.2 specifically supporting the work of of ASETRABLOU (Association des Églises pour la Traduction de la Bible en Langue Ouldémé) and ASETBILVA (Association des Églises pour la Traduction de la Bible en Langue Vamé). 4.1.3 informing supporters in the UK of the work being done in the Ouldémé and Vamé communities. 4.2 The advancement of education in the Ouldémé and Vamé communities of north Cameroon.
