What the charity exists to do

What is now Polmont Community Hub had been earmarked for closure in 2024. The charity was set up to maintain and improve it and secure through Community Ownership. This is now a thriving community space that hosts numerous groups, serving the needs of both young and old, benefiting the local community and open to all. The Hub offers a large hall and many meeting rooms and provides a space for all including Community groups, charities and individuals for meetings, social events and group activities. We provide free events and work with other charities to provide activities. We tackle social isolation and improve the mental and physical wellbeing of those using the space. With over 2 acres of land, we are developing a social garden, orchard and an outdoor play and education area. We encourage a healthy diet and promote food growing initiatives. We align ourselves with governmental goals towards achieving zero waste and have ambitious plans to reach net-zero emissions before 2030.
