02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Kinross-shire Trishaws and Community Cycling aims to develop and enrich our local community advancing health and wellbeing, improving the environment, reducing carbon emissions, creating employment, increasing social cohesion and inclusion, contributing to the local economy, increasing road safety for cyclists, and increasing active travel. We provide cycling opportunities to improving physical and mental wellbeing making sure that everyone is included regardless of ability or disability. We offer a sense of belonging. Being included reduces isolation and stigma and builds a tolerant community. Our community rides and activities improve mental health, increases physical fitness, helps with building relationships with other adults and can positively change mood, make participants feel less stressed and better able to manage anxiety and depression.
