The organisation’s purposes are: a) The saving of lives through supporting the emergency services and assisting communities during periods of adverse weather, environmental hazard and natural disasters. b) The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, or isolation through providing transport, equipment, medical supplies and other necessities or personnel that aid mobility, alleviate discomfort or improve a person’s quality of life.
