02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity provides residents and visitors to Dumfries and Galloway the opportunity to participate in the sport of curling. We also provide opportunities to become involved in the sport as a volunteer to either coach, umpire or assist in ensuring our events run well. In order to do this we look to get funds to cover expenditure by way of sponsorship or fund raising.

Constitutional objectives
The organisation's purposes are the advancement of public participation in the sport of curling at Dumfries Ice Bowl through the organisation of leagues, competitions and coaching. 4 The association is committed to encouraging the highest ethical standards. All individuals involved in the Association should conduct themselves with integrity, transparency, accountability and in a fair and equitable manner. 5 The Association is affiliated to Scottish Curling.
