What the charity exists to do
Acquire SCIO is an arts charity committed to delivering high-quality, ambitious opportunities for a wide and diverse community of singers, musicians and creatives. Through a varied programme of performance, training and large-scale collaborative projects, participants are supported to develop their skills and build confidence while engaging with music and theatre at a high standard, regardless of background or experience. Acquire runs four interconnected programme strands, each designed to offer distinct opportunities for singers and musicians: The Choir, The Orchestra, The Sing-through, The Workshops.

Constitutional objectives
The organisation’s purpose is the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science. In furtherance of this purpose, it will: (a) celebrate, promote, and advance the appreciation of music - in particular, musical theatre - in an enjoyable and educational environment. (b) advance, improve, develop and maintain participants’ skills in all areas of artistic performance and production. (c) draw participants together through social activities. (d) aspire to and achieve a consistently high standard in its activities.
