What the charity exists to do
Farmstrong Scotland is a charity delivering a farmer-led wellbeing programme, backed by research, to help Scotland’s farming and crofting communities live well, so they can farm well. Inspired by Farmstrong New Zealand, it focuses on mental, physical, emotional and social wellbeing. The initiative shares practical tips and real stories through podcasts, videos, and events like Farm Walk & Talks, Social events and agricultural shows. Farmstrong promotes the Five Ways to Wellbeing—connect, take notice, give, keep learning, be active—and provides resources on a range or topics including sleep, stress and menopause. Farmstrong encourages open conversations about wellbeing, reducing stigma and building community. It aims to enable individuals in Scotland's agricultural community to lead happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives, creating more productive and sustainable businesses.
