02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our charity is set up to advance the Christian faith and support people in need by improving their spiritual, social and practical wellbeing. We aim to share the message of the gospel, promote positive values, support education and personal development, and provide help to individuals and families in difficulty. We do this in a number of practical ways. We hold regular worship services, prayer meetings and Bible teaching to support spiritual growth. We also organise outreach and evangelistic programmes, including community events such as worship concerts, to engage with the wider community and promote faith and wellbeing. Alongside this, we run education and development programmes, including Christian teaching, career skills sessions and employment guidance. We provide activities for children, young people and students to support learning, mentoring and personal development, as well as family and relationship seminars to encourage strong and healthy family life.
