Constitutional objectives

3 The SCIO will, in such manner as the Charity Trustees consider appropriate, promote, advance and further the charitable purposes, in particular the advancement of education, relief of poverty, and the provision of recreational activities: 3.1 the provision and supervision of learning-orientated activities and play for children aged 5-14 years old. 3.2 the provision of care, guidance, instruction, activities and support directed towards addressing the additional needs of children aged 5-14 years old who may come from a disadvantaged home environment, and/or single parent family. 3.3 increasing knowledge and awareness among children aged 5-14 years old of the principles associated with maintaining good health and preserving the environment. 3.4 promote and/or provide training in the skills associated with the care and supervision of children aged 5-14 years old. 3.5 allowing individuals (whether parents or guardians) to maintain themselves in paid employment.
