Constitutional objectives

The Organisation’s main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The Organisation’s Purposes are: (a) Advancement in education for all ages across Tweed Valley by creating accessible opportunities for learning and skills development. This includes offering workshops and training in digital literacy, environmental conservation, arts, and vocational skills. providing resources and mentorship in partnership with local schools, colleges, and other charities. and creating spaces within the community facility for informal learning, such as study areas. (b) The advancement of citizenship or community development by providing social and community infrastructure through community spaces and activities that are accessible to all and help individuals feel valued, for example by being inter-generational and dementia-friendly. (c) The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended by working with the existing infrastructure and community to add additional opportunities, whilst avoiding duplication of resources. (d) To promote equality and diversity by ensuring that all community programs, activities, and facilities are inclusive, accessible, and encourage integration across different demographics. This involves developing targeted outreach programs, accessibility improvements, and inclusive policy frameworks to support participation from marginalised and underrepresented groups. (e) Collaborating with existing local organisations and charities to design and deliver new recreational opportunities that fill current service gaps, avoiding duplication and optimising resource use.
