02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Kirkmichael Ayrshire Development Trust is dedicated to securing the long-term future of the McCosh Hall, supporting local groups, fostering community-led initiatives and promoting active engagement across all generations. We aim to safeguard vital services in our rural community and enrich the cultural and economic life of Kirkmichael for residents and visitors alike.

Constitutional objectives
The SCIO has been formed to benefit principally the community of Kirkmichael, South Ayrshire which comprises the Kirkmichael Community Council area (“the Community”) (see appendix 1) with the following objects: 1. The provisional of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended But only to the extent that such purposes are consistent with sustainable development
