What the charity exists to do

Forfar Music Group advances the arts by providing inclusive music workshops for individuals aged 16+, fostering confidence and social connection in a relaxed environment. We offer instruments and equipment so anyone, regardless of skill, can participate. We collaborate with local groups to support community events, provide music education, and encourage public performances. Our programs benefit youth, vulnerable groups, and low-income families, promoting cultural engagement and well-being in the Forfar community.

The organisation's purposes are: The advancement of the arts through providing access to a relaxed and informal setting with the emphasis on participation, enjoyment and social connection. Where adults, 16 years and over, can build confidence through music and meet new people in a safe, supportive environment. To provide the environment and necessary musical instruments/ equipment where anyone with an interest in music, regardless of ability can participate To provide rehearsal and studio space for local musicians and organising a range of musical activities and festivals for people of all ages in Forfar and the surrounding area. and The advancement of community development through collaborating with local community groups, providing support for community events, organising public performances of music and encouraging public participation in community life.
