Constitutional objectives
The organisation's purposes are primarily focused within the community of Argyll and Bute council area and are to promote: Preserve St Conan's Kirk's unique history, heritage and architecture, providing access to a wide range of communities and audiences through the advancement of heritage and education by engaging with schools and other institutions, developing community learning and heritage experiences and providing facilities to support commemorative and spiritual activities. The advancement of citizenship and community development by providing opportunities for people to be actively involved in volunteering and by engaging in rural regeneration, conservation and heritage activities to both improve lives and increase access to education, training or employment. To advance the arts, heritage and culture of Scotland and beyond by utilising St Conan's Kirk's nationally important and rich cultural heritage, history, architecture and environment to inspire and develop creative expression and cultural engagement through visual, literary and performing arts. Provide access to the kirk's buildings and gardens as a community activity space, to improve community cohesion, tackle rural social isolation and advance mental health and well-being through recreation and social connection for the benefit of everyone.
