02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our charity is set up to provide and maintain community allotments and a community orchard, giving local people opportunities to grow their own fruit, vegetables and flowers. We promote organic gardening and growing, healthy outdoor activity, environmental awareness and a strong sense of community. We manage the allotment site and orchard, support plot holders and encourage the sharing of skills, knowledge and resources. We also support our local school by providing an allotment where children can take part in gardening activities and learn about growing food, nature and the environment.
