Constitutional objectives
The objects of the CIO, which are to be carried out for the public benefit in the UK are: 1) The promotion of equality and diversity by providing activities and initiatives aimed at young people aged between 13-24 of all races and genders designed to: (a) eliminate discrimination on the grounds of gender and race. (b) advance education in and raise awareness of equality and diversity. (c) promote activities to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds. (d) conduct, or assist in, the promotion of research on equality and diversity issues, publishing the useful results to the public. (e) cultivate a sentiment in favour of equality and diversity. 2) To advance in life and help young people aged 13-24 by providing support and activities which advance their education and enable them to develop their skills, capacities and capabilities so that they may participate in society as mature and responsible individuals.
