02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The company has been formed to benefit the community of Gartcosh and Mount Ellen. We work within our governing document to achieve this. The work is directed by the board of trustees elected in accordance with our governing document. Through consultation of the community and our AGM, direction is set and work is undertaken within the scope of our governing document purpose

Constitutional objectives
(1) The advancement of community development (including the advancement of urban regeneration) principally within the Community. (2) The advancement of environmental protection or improvement. (3 ) The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. (4) The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill- health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. But only to the extent that the above purposes are consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development.
